Creating Legacies, Emanating Love

For as long as I can remember, I loved using my imagination. I'd empty my mind and envision all the possibilities of the future; I'd dream of new horizons, of change, of prosperity. In fact, when I first started taking Visual Arts more seriously, I'd sign my designs with Dream. Eventually, that trademark became DoodleZ, and as I matured, I determined the best way to express my creativity, is with me. And so, Thalia was born.

If I was asked a few years ago if I envision myself in this place, as a wife, a career woman and an entrepreneur, I'd say "Of Course! Dreams are limitless; possibilities are infinite", but to say I could truly grasp this reality would leave me daunted. But for God.

"I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me - Philippians 4:13"

Today, Created By Thalia celebrates one week since its launch. Dreams and aspirations are now a reality. To say it's been a blessing is an understatement. The support I've received from all of you has left me speechless. However what has really touched me this week is, the support and the love from my husband. I could never grasp the difference having a partner to share this experience would make. Because of him, I have endless inspiration for our Amore Collection, including our latest limited edition "Love In Every Language".

The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." - Genesis 2:18 

Starting Created By Thalia has been a pivotal moment in our marriage. This first year has already been profound; I could never imagine how much I would learn in this journey - the depths of strength I would attain, the depths of love I would experience. With an extremely hectic full-time career in Construction Project Management, being an entrepreneur means a huge section of the already few hours left in a day are now absorbed into design, strategic planning, organization, inventory development, not to mention the day to day tasks that come with maintaining a household. To say my husband has been a pillar of strength in the rebranding of Created By Thalia is an understatement. He brings so much to the table - a profound vision, creative ideas, revolutionary strategies and patience.

"Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud..." 1 Corinthians 13:1

As you go about your respective lives, I want you to reflect on love. Created By Thalia was founded on love, built on faith in God and birthed from vision. When it was started, our intent was to birth a legacy, however something deeper has emerged. We have something that is ours, that we can bond through, that we can touch lives with. We're building a legacy and deepening our bond. It's creating intimacy; it's infusing joy.

"God is love - 1 John 4:8"

Building this company's foundation on Christ has played a huge role in its success. God fuels our love for each other and is the source of our strength. As we continue to explore the challenges that come with entrepreneurship, we are comforted in His everlasting love. The designs we've produced in this week alone showcase the passion and the love we share, along with the uniqueness that comes from our union. Our combined vision has been encapsulated in each and every one of our designs.

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Proverbs 31: 28-29

I want to encourage you to cherish your relationships and your faith. The greatest commandment is to love. Love is fuel for all things good, all things sound, all things profound. Can you remember those times where you felt you were most cared for? How did you function? What came out of those experiences? Be love. Be that change. Be that support. You never know what will be the product of it. It could be a fulfilled dream.
